This 5-week class is a fresh look at the role of parenting.
2 Corinthians 3:17 tells us: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Most parenting approaches train children to learn to accept being controlled by well-meaning parents and adults. However, God is not going to control us as we gain independence from our parents. We must learn to control ourselves.
"Loving Our Kids on Purpose" will give you tools to:
- Protect your connection with your children
- Teach your children to manage increasing levels of freedom
- Replace the tools of intimidation and control
- Create a safe place for children to build confidence and personal responsibility
Each week, we will have a family potluck dinner at 6pm followed by group discussion. Feel free to bring a dish to share; childcare will be provided for the kiddos.
6:00-8:00pm on March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2

This is the 6th annual singles fellowship weekend. It is a great time that allows singles from all over the country to come and gain incredible fellowship, lessons, food, dance, and ability to give back, like Jesus, through service projects. This year we are blessed to have John and Nancy Mannel as the keynote speakers. They are true blessings as they have served in the capacity of Elders for several years and have a wealth of wisdom and insight to impart. We are asking that everyone come and enjoy a Walk of Faith for the weekend in amazing Kansas City. Register soon, you won't want to miss this!
Crossing the Line workshops seek to begin or continue the conversation at the local level on the topics of race, ethnicity, and culture within the body of Christ. Michael and MyCresha share from their own lives and decades of cross-cultural experiences to educate churches on the history of race and cultural conflicts in the world and in the United States, and discuss how those issues can influence and impact a church negatively if we are not properly informed and trained. The workshops seek to train church members how to navigate difficult conversations and sensitive topics, and provides simple techniques for disciples to recognize and work through areas of cross-cultural communication and conflict.
REGISTRATION IS FREE BUT SEATING IS LIMITED. YOU MUST REGISTER USING THE "REGISTER" BUTTON BELOW!
