Does God exist? I don't know... I believe so. Does Jesus save? I don't know... I think so. What is the spirit of God? I don't know...

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
(Ephesians 4:14-15)

Does God exist? I don't know... I believe so.

Does Jesus save? I don't know... I think so.

What is the spirit of God? I don't know...

Do you recall the story of the 3 little pigs? One made his house out of straw, another sticks and the third used bricks. When the big bad wolf came along, he huffed and puffed and blew the first two houses down, with a crash, but the third house made of bricks did NOT shake in the wind. In a world where everyone has an opinion and can share it boldly on the "world wide web" too many of us don't take the time truly know what we believe. We hold to the opinions of our friends, parents, mentors, heroes, celebrities and others we idolize often without proof. When we are questioned for these beliefs we collapse like the houses made of sticks and straw. In Acts 17, the Bereans were described as having noble character, because they not only listen to what was being preached but they also studied it out for themselves! It is time to know what we stand for, not only because we are inspired but because we process proof.

The Omaha Church of Christ is inviting teens in 9th-12th grade to decide what they know. Join us for a weekend of dynamic lessons, skits, worship, fellowship, service projects, and activities to not just believe but KNOW what "I" stand for!
